It is our privilege to co-chair the campaign for the Possabilities Achievement Hub. We love this community and have long supported initiatives that make a lasting difference, particularly for youth. The Hub is another bold, forward-thinking effort that will benefit all residents-directly or indirectly.

This is not a role we accepted lightly. As former IBM executives and entrepreneurs-and with Doug serving on Possabilities board and finance committee-we know firsthand that Possabilities is well-run, financially sound organization making a real difference in people’s lives.

This campaign is about more than a building. It’s about strengthening the infrastructure of our community by helping people with disabilities and their families-lead more independent, connected, and fulfilling lives. It’s also about job growth-identifying and equipping people with skills for careers in technology, research, production, and service.

Possabilities already touches hundreds of lives each year, yet the demand continues to grow. After careful review, the board unanimously approved this $20 million campaign to create an integrated, accessible space-a new model, designed to fill service gaps effectively and economically within the social determinates of health that shape daily life.

This new groundbreaking center will expand opportunities for collaboration with other community resources to teach life skills, offer career training, support families, and provide therapeutic, recreational, and creative arts programs. It will include space for agriculture, product development, movement and sensory activities, and caregiver workshops. And yes-we even envision a pickleball court, because health and happiness go hand in hand.

In partnership with RSP Architects, we are creating a warm, inviting space that serves Rochester and the broader southeastern Minnesota region. It will be a place where barriers disappear, families find strength, and individuals discover purpose, friendships, and belonging.

Just as great schools, hospitals, and parks reflect a community’s values, so with the Hub. Build to last with flexible design, it will stand as a welcoming landmark for generations to come.

Possabilities is at a pivotal moment. We have committed our time, energy, and resources to this vision because we believe in what is possible. But we cannot do it alone.

We invite you-individuals, families, businesses, and organization-to join us in making it real. Together, we can create a center of support and strength for people with disabilities as valued members of our community.

With your help… It’s Possible.
