Competitive Integrated Employment
PossAbilities Employment Services are meant to assist youth and adults who identify as having a disability navigate their pathway in finding and retaining competitive integrated employment in the community. Our goal is to find each person meaningful careers that focus on their abilities.
Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)
In partnership with Vocational Rehabilitation, PossAbilities can provide an array of pre-employment services for ages 14 to 21 years old who are enrolled in an educational program.

- We assist students with enrolling or remaining enrolled in post-secondary education or work-related training.
- Postsecondary Education Counseling
- We assist students with enrolling or remaining enrolled in post-secondary education or work-related training programs.
- Workplace Readiness Training
- We help students build:
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Workplace Etiquette skills
- Money Management skills
- Benefit Planning Skills
- Job Seeking Skills
- We help students build:
- Instruction in Self-Advocacy
- We provide students with opportunities to learn about their rights and responsibilities as someone living with disabilities.
Placement and Retention Services
In partnership with Vocational Rehabilitation, PossAbilities can assist with job placement and new hire success.
- Identifying and Developing Job Opportunities
- We can assist with creating a resume or job application, preparing for a job interview, and helping employers recognize and eliminate barriers that may hinder a successful job placement for someone living with disabilities.
- Follow-Up Services
- We can provide regular check-ins on the job site to help adjust to a new career opportunity, including assisting with the initial job orientation and onboarding process.
Follow-Along Services
Once a person living with disabilities is competitively employed in the community, PossAbilities can help maintain a long-term, successful career with consistent career support.
- Job Coaching
- We can assist with strengthening necessary work skills, modeling professional workplace behaviors, and acceptable workplace attire and hygiene.
- Relationship Building
- We can help with creating co-worker relationships and support to help with overall job satisfaction.
Persons served by the Follow-Along program are hired directly by the employer in an integrated setting, with the employee being paid wages by the employer.
Supported Employment Services
PossAbilities can provide a supportive working environment for people living with disabilities who want to work at a competitive wage.

People served in Supported Employment are typically not directly hired by an employer. Instead, they are hired by PossAbilities, who work in partnership with the company.
