Program Without Walls (PWoW) allows individuals to be involved in employment, volunteerism and other activities in the community. A typical day is spent strengthening independence through work skills, life skills and transportation assistance; all while building relationships with community members.
“The Program without Walls has given her new found freedom in the community,” said Kimberly, Jen’s mother. Through PWoW, Jen has learned how to travel on the bus, build relationship skills with business leaders and develop long lasting friendships.
Gordan was one of the first participants in PossAbilities Program without Walls when it started in 2012. For Gordan, the program has improved his social and work skills.
Each Summer, PossAbilities participants paint about 100 fire hydrants for the City of Rochester.
